“The best group holiday I’ve ever been on. I enjoyed every moment.”
“I hadn’t written anything for months. During this week I started writing again. I was inspired. Thank you so much.”
“The food was lovely, the surroundings beautiful and the course inspirational. Better than any ‘holiday’.”
“Jan is a warm and enthusiastic tutor who is able to create a supportive, working group. I loved every minute.”
“Brilliant.” “Please may I come again?”
The course is ideal for those working on a writing project and needing some uninterrupted writing time in order to focus and get some editorial feedback, and also for writers who are looking for the motivation or ideas to begin a writing project. Beginners and more experienced writers are all welcome!
The group will be a maximum of 13. We meet in the morning for writing motivation exercises designed not only to source new ideas but also to develop more depth in existing work. Every day there will be a particular theme and writing issue to focus on but participants are also invited to bring their own writing questions to the table. Late afternoon we meet again to share work and constructive feedback and discuss writing issues that may have emerged during the day. The rest of the time is free for individual writing and Jan will be available to read your work and discuss it with you individually during the week.
There will be a free day mid-week when there will be an optional excursion organised for example to Malaga old town or Nerja on the coast. If you prefer to stay at the finca and write/ relax, that’s fine too.
